JRB ART AT THE ELMS WELCOMES THE NEW YEAR WITH
EXHIBITION OPENING AND COMPLIMENTARY BRUNCH ON
THURSDAY JANUARY 1, 2015 FROM 11:30 AM TO 2:30 PM
For the 12th consecutive year, JRB Art at The Elms will host its popular New Year’s Day Brunch celebrating the New Year and present its inaugural opening for 2015, ‘WHITE II.” This exhibit will feature the work of 25 well known artists, who at the gallery’s request, have created paintings, sculptures, wall hangings and objects that explore the various shades and tonalities of white. A jazz trio featuring Evangeline as the vocalist will assist in celebrating the New Year with their special brand of music. The “White II” exhibit will also be featured during the Paseo First Friday Gallery walk from 6:00 until 10:00 PM, Friday, January 2, 2015 and will run through January 30, 2015. The Gallery’s 2015 Art Calendar will be available throughout the month of January.
In commenting about the New Year’s Day celebration, JRB Gallery owner, Joy Reed Belt, commented that “not only has the brunch, with its black-eyed peas, ham, assorted salads and sandwiches, and pastries been highly popular during its eleven year run, but clients and the general public really look forward to starting off the New Year being reminded of the beauty that can be found in this world and enjoying the remarkable gift of creativity that artists so freely give.” She continued by noting that “the response to last year’s “White I” was so great that the Gallery decided to present “White II” again this year.
“The work that the Gallery has been receiving for this show is amazing,” Exhibition Coordinator, Robert Eastham, said. ‘We have returning artists as well as several new artists including: Carla Anglada, Carol Beesley, Robert Eastham, Birthe Flexner, Beth Hammack, Michael Hatcher, Jennifer Hustis, Joseph Mills, Ellen Moershel, George Oswalt, Michi Susan, Bert Seabourn, Mike Wimmer, John Brandenburg and John Wolfe.”

JRB Art at The Elms presents a diverse roster of emerging, established, and internationally exhibited artists who create in a wide range of media including: paintings, drawings, sculpture, ceramics, glass, fine crafts, functional objects, fiber art and photographs. This 8,000 square foot award-winning gallery in Oklahoma City’s Paseo Arts District changes its exhibits monthly in a gracious environment that fosters a dialogue between the arts and the larger community while providing quality art for first time buyers as well as individual, corporate and museum collections.
