Kate Rivers

Kate Rivers Graduated from Columbus College of Art and Design (Ohio) on a full

scholarship. She then completed an MFA in panting and printmaking at The

University of South Carolina in Columbia, South Carolina. After teaching at the collegiate level in Arizona, Missouri, and Oklahoma, Rivers left teaching to work as a full time artist.

With collage as the primary medium of her work, she explores pattern, texture, and

the messages conveyed by the combination of text and material. Investigation of memory, nostalgia, loss, time and space become synonymous with home and space. A resident of Santa Fe, New Mexico, her work is in both private and public collections throughout the

United States and France.
