Rosemary Burke Biography

Artist and illustrator Rosemary Burke began her career as a staff artist at John A. Brown Company before joining on Al Rosenthal's as their Creative Director and Advertising Manager. Burke then freelanced as Fashion Illustrator for Ruth Meyers, Inc until becoming the Fashion Illustrator and Director of Advertising for Balliets. During her ten years with Balliets, her illustrations were a major influence and presence in print media fashion, published weekly in The Daily Oklahoman.

Since 1995, Rosemary has been freelancing in a variety of artistic endeavors through her own business. Currently she specializes in illustrations, prints, portraits, logo design, custom commissioned fine art and consulting. Her keen observation of design, detail and attitude give her illustrations a truly timeless, classic appeal.

Burke has served as Regional Director and Ex-Officio of The Fashion Group International, a worldwide affiliation of executives in the applied arts of the fashion fields and has been a guest lecturer at Oklahoma State University School of Design. In addition, she was a Career Day Speaker and has served as a judge for The University of Oklahoma School of Arts Design Competition.
