Shane Scribner was born in Tulsa in 1980. He excelled in art as a child and began his career in the arts immediately after graduating high school.  Shane attended the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, graduating in 2004.

There he studied the classical painting techniques of such contemporary masters as, Xhaoming Wu and Warren Chang. Since opening his studio in 2007, Shane has primarily engaged in figurative painting. He explores nuances of the human figure by continuing to create bodies of work that maintain classical techniques and subject matter, but are infused with nuances of contemporary fantasy, color, and imagination.
