Born and raised in Oklahoma, Matt Josef has had his hands in creating art for his entire life. He has spent the past ten years honing his personal style, experimenting with a variety of techniques, media and subject matters. A self-taught artist, Matt has had nearly fifteen studios throughout Colorado, New Mexico, Oregon and Oklahoma. His work is in private and corporate collections across the United States and inHonduras.

Matt is best known for his figurative oil paintings, but has recently taken the leap into abstract botanical paintings. Using multi ple layers of paint and gold leaf, Matt then coats the painting with an epoxy resin, giving his work even richerlevels of depth and texture.
