Katherine Kerr Allen is a full-time studio artist with studios in Oklahoma, Minnesota, and Maine. She was born in Brainerd, MN and grew up in Oklahoma City, OK. Katherine exhibited her first artworks in the third grade at Nichols Hills Elementary School. She went on to study studio art and art history at the University of Colorado and was granted with a BFA from the University of Arizona. Katherine received her MFA from Cranbook Academy of Art in Bloomfield Hills, MI. Her work is held in museums, private, and corporate collections along with being exhibited Nationally and Internationally in venues including: Academy Art Museum at Easton, Maryland, American Embassy, Belize, China, Fort Lauderdale Museum of Art, Pittsburgh Center for the Arts, Stanford University, Taiwan National Living Center, as well as University of South Florida.
