There's something for nearly everybody in a show of paintings by B.J. White, mixed-media works by Michi Susan, masks by Patrick Riley and sculpture by Holly Wilson — all of whom are among the state's master artists.

The four-person exhibit, which has a strong feel of autumn, is on view through the month of October at JRB Art at the Elms gallery, 2810 N Walker.

JRB Art at the Elms celebrates 10^th anniversary

Joy Reed Belt is marking a decade of preserving the legacy of Oklahoma City art pioneer Nan Sheets with Friday’s release of “Project X,” a limited edition portfolio box featuring prints from 10 of her gallery’s regular artists.

There is a stark contrast among the dark, harlequinesque oil paintings of Michele Mikesell, the colorful, semiabstract acrylic landscapes of Thomas Batista, and the light-based glass and plastic sculptures of R.C. Morrison.

The May exhibit at JRB Art at The Elms, 2810 N Walker, will feature the works of Beth Hammack, an Oklahoma painter, and Brooks Tower, an internationally recognized mosaic artist. Both are to open Friday, with an opening reception from 6 to 10 p.m. during The Paseo Arts District’s monthly First Friday Gallery Walk.

The exhibit can be seen during the Paseo Arts Festival Memorial Day Weekend and will close on May 28.

OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma— JRB Art at The Elms presents “Orient Shift” by Mary Ann Strandell. For this exhibit Strandell observes storied ancient and modern culture through the mediation of handmade paintings and through the lens of technology with lenticular prints. The exhibit opens with a reception from 6:00 to 10:00pm on Friday, March 1st during The Paseo’s First Friday Gallery walk and runs through March 31st, 2013.
